IMPERIAL TEA

The perfect balance between green tea and jasmine. A tribute to an ancient Chinese tradition.

As a perfumer, Kilian Hennessy loves to travel. An encounter with jasmine tea in rural China made him obsessed with the regal infusion: he watched jasmine flowers handpicked at dawn, laid onto dry tea leaves, then repeated so that the natural perfume deeply infused the tea.​ 

This sensory experience and, later, the tasting ritual kilian describes as “A Delicious Moment That You Wish Never Ends”.​ To make this luxury last forever, when Kilian returned to Paris, he wanted to capture it in a perfume.​
